Part time driver for collecting scallops/crab in evenings.

Liaising with the scallop supervisor, your role will be collecting scallops and crabs using the companies’ vehicles in the evenings. This job requires lifting of bags and boxes of shellfish, and unloading as required. (May be suitable for an already employed person interested in some part time work on an evening on call/ rotation.)

Applicants should be physically fit, dependable, and able to keep simple records, and possess a clean driving licence with trailer.

Scallop trimmers/ shellers

Working in our scallop factory, applicants should have good dexterity /knife skills. This job is paid on piece rates by production throughput, and provides the opportunity for skilled workers to earn good rates of pay.


A vacancy has arisen for an individual to carry out QC/ Administration duties.

The successful applicant will be conscientious, a self-starter, reliable and have the ability to carry out process checks and undertake sampling procedures as per guideline protocols. Be familiar and competent with Microsoft Word and Excel, and have suitable people skills to direct staff to ensure that the business follows required processing standards and liaise and interface with auditors, customers, and suppliers as appropriate. Ideally you will have some experience of technical compliance/ QC work.

The suitable applicant will have a driving licence and be required to be based between our Brae and Northmavine Crab, Mussel and Scallop factories.

Boat skipper/boatmen

From time to time vacancies arise on our mussel farming workboats, carrying out harvesting and husbandry on our mussel farm sites; we are always interested to hear from suitably qualified / experienced boatmen/ ex-fishermen.
